Our mission is to bring out the best potential in every child by preparing them for formal schooling. We strongly believe that each child has an inner potential that must be nurtured and developed through proper guidance of teachers.
For more than 13 years, Shining Stars Learning Center has been a trusted name among parents and families. Its classrooms are safe, nurturing environments for children six weeks to twelve years, offering age-appropriate opportunities to explore and discover. From infants to toddlers, preschoolers to school agers, highly trained teachers lead each child to reach developmental milestones, preparing the children for social and academic success. Shining Stars is a state licensed family childcare center that offers exemplary services for families in a safe and nurturing environment.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is simple: we are committed to bringing the highest quality of early childhood education and care to our children and their families at an affordable cost. By teaching children how to be young thinkers, we believe that they will be able to make good choices. All children deserve love, attention, and nurturing.
Our Staff
Our staff consists of MSDE infant, preschool, and school-age certified teachers. Through their experiences and training, we are able to facilitate our curriculum well while teaching children the appropriate behavior.
- We consistently exceed the standards laid out by the U.S Department of Education and the Maryland State Department of Education.
- We participate in the Maryland State Department Food Program, which allows us to provide all of our students with a well-balanced nutritional breakfast and lunch and afternoon snack.
